Rajasthan United sign Givson Singh & Monirul Molla

Rajasthan United sign Givson Singh and Monirul Molla.

Givson’s career so far

Givson Singh in training for Kerala Blasters FC.

Givson then joined Odisha FC, which made no sense whatsoever. He was in the first-team matchday roster for only two of the Juggernauts’ 25 league games and appeared in only one, the season’s last game against Northeast United. He played in the Durand Cup as a part of the reserves this season but did not receive any minutes in the league, making sense to mutually terminate the contract.

The 22-year-old will be seeking to prove himself as a first-team regular and gain more playing time with this transfer to Rajasthan. Only if he is given the opportunity will he be able to demonstrate his abilities, and this is an excellent opportunity for the midfielder.

Monirul’s career so far

Bengaluru FC youngster Monirul Molla is all set to join Rajasthan United FC.

Primarily a right winger, Molla can also play as a striker. The Bengali teenager made his ISL debut for the Blues against the Blasters and received some minutes under Simon Grayson, as well as occasional appearances under Gerard Zaragoza. He even scored in the most recent SAFF U-20 Championship match against Bhutan. The youngster’s minutes have decreased this season, with players like Vinith being favoured over him for the right wing position.

Moving to the I-League can be the ideal way for the young winger to improve his abilities and become a regular part of the first team. This will also be an excellent situation for Bengaluru FC, as it would allow their player to develop his skills and return to the club next season, maybe earning a spot in the first team.

Rajasthan United’s season so far

Rajasthan United FC head coach Walter Caprile

Rajasthan United caused quite a stir during the transfer window by acquiring several highly touted overseas players. However, Walter Caprile’s club is having a hard time; they have only won twice in their six I-League 2024–25 games and have allowed 14 goals in those six games, making them the league’s poorest defensive team. The club has also scored the joint second fewest goals in the league, and head coach Caprile would hope that the additions of Givson and Monirul will turn around that and allow the squad to start scoring regularly.
