With the group stage of the 2024/25 Indian Super League season over, teams have already begun to consider potential transfer targets for the next season. Churchill Brother Goa’s left-back Lalremruata has drawn interest from many ISL teams after an outstanding I-League season.
With a year remaining on his previous contract with Churchill Brothers, a few ISL clubs have contacted about the full-back’s availability for the next season. A source close to the development added, “Lalremruata is attracting interest from a few ISL clubs after an impressive I-League season! With a year left on his contract, Churchill are expected to demand a transfer fee.”

Lalremruata signed for I-League side Churchill Brothers Goa in January 2023 from I-League 2 club Chanmari FC. Since then, the left-back, who is 22 years old, has made a name for himself as one of the league’s top and most promising fullbacks. Despite a slow start at the Goan club, Lalremruata made his mark in the league’s later stages and the 2023 Super Cup.
Lalremruata has been a key member of the Churchill defense since the 2023/24 I-League season, usually as a left-back but also as a center-back at times. With one goal and four assists in the league, he has proved himself to be a modern-day fullback.
He has continued his excellent form this season, starting every game and playing an important part in Churchill’s bid for promotion to the Indian Super League. His form in the attacking third has persisted, as he has recorded three assists and one goal in addition to his outstanding defensive displays.

His future may undoubtedly be influenced by Churchill Brothers’ future and whether or not the team gets promoted. There is a chance that he will stay if they are able to be promoted. If they fail, however, ISL teams will circle around to sign the player. Looks like a fascinating scenario to keep an eye on.
