Sreenidi Deccan FC has officially announced the acquisition of midfielder Lalthankhuma (Tka) for the forthcoming season. The midfielder previously represented I-League side Aizawl FC in the past two editions of the league.
Lalthankhuma has joined the Deccan Warriors after making 35 appearances with the People’s Club in the I-League. During his two-year tenure, he contributed two goals and an assist.
Twenty-four-year-old Lalthankhuma commenced his professional career with Kerala United, followed by a stint with Calcutta Football League side Southern Samity. He then returned to his home state Mizoram, playing for Chhinga Veng FC and subsequently joining ARA FC on a short-term loan. After his brief period with the Mizo side, he joined I-League side Aizawl FC, where he spent the past two seasons and participated in a total of 35 matches.

Addressing his signing for the Deccan Warriors, Lalthankhuma expressed his enthusiasm, stating, “I am delighted to join Sreenidi Deccan FC, a club renowned for its diverse roster of young and seasoned players. I am looking forward to learning, growing with the team and giving my best to take the club to new heights.”
Regarding the acquisition, Chief Football Officer of Sreenidi Deccan FC, Fabio Ferreira, emphasized, “Lalthankhuma has been one of the standout performers in recent seasons, consistently proving his quality in the I-League. His arrival brings both energy and composure to our midfield, aligning with our strategic vision to strengthen the squad for the upcoming campaign.
