Sreenidi Deccan FC have acquired goalkeeper Bhaskar Roy, left-back Abhash Thapa and midfielder Rashid CK to strengthen their squad for the upcoming season. They have also brought back former head Carlos Vaz Pinto ahead of the upcoming season.
Experienced keeper Bhaskar Roy joins:
Experienced goalkeeper Bhaskar Roy began his professional career with the Services team and made his debut with Minerva Punjab FC in the I-League where he spent three years and won the league in the 2017-18 season. He subsequently joined Rajasthan United FC for the I-League 2021-22 season.
After a season with Rajasthan United he moved to Indian Super League (ISL) side Mumbai City FC for two seasons and featured for Mohammedan Sporting Club in the 2024-25 ISL season. The former I-League Golden Glove winner also won the ISL League Winners Shield in the 2022-23 season and the ISL Trophy the following year with Mumbai City FC.
Abhash Thapa strengthens midfield:
Abhash Thapa joins the Deccan Warriors after spending the I-League 2024-25 season with Rajasthan United FC where he played in 22 matches and scored two goals. The left-back began his professional career with Real Kashmir FC in the 2018-19 season and then joined East Bengal FC the following season. He subsequently returned to the Snow Leopards to spend the next two seasons before moving to Mohammedan SC where he won the I-League 2023-24.
Sreenidi also adds impressive young Rashid CK:
On the other hand, young midfielder Rashid CK joins Sreenidi Deccan FC after spending the previous season with Chanmari FC where he helped the team secure promotion to the I-League. During his stint with Chanmari FC he made 13 appearances and scored a goal in their promotion campaign.
