Arshdeep showed his ability to keep his side competitive through his shot-stopping and composure under pressure. Against Mohun Bagan, he denied Lee Erwin on several occasions, demonstrating good reactions and the ability to deal with dangerous attempts.

His contribution highlighted the importance of concentration and positioning when facing a team capable of creating chances in the final third.

LB: Naocha Singh

Noacha delivered a disciplined defensive performance, combining strong one-on-one defending with excellent positional awareness. He was not dribbled past, won all his tackles and secured five of his six ground duels.

His two important blocks near the edge of the box further demonstrated his willingness to put himself in the way of dangerous attempts. His versatility also allowed him to operate effectively as a left-back out of possession and a left-sided centre-back during build-up.

CB: Alberto Rodríguez

Alberto Rodríguez was a commanding presence at the back for Mohun Bagan, using his positioning and anticipation to disrupt opposition attacks. He recorded eight clearances, three blocks and two recoveries, completing 13 successful defensive actions.

He also won all his tackles and five duels, helping his side maintain defensive solidity and secure another clean sheet. His performance reflected the importance of reading the game and dealing decisively with danger.

CB: Clarence Fernandes

Clarence brought youthful energy and defensive commitment to Sporting Delhi’s backline. His ability to contribute in defensive situations and support the team’s structure made him a valuable option in the defensive unit.

Rather than relying solely on physical challenges, his role required concentration, sensible positioning and awareness of the movements around him. He won 5 out of 6 ground duels and 2 out of 2 aerial duels along with 4 clearances and 7 interceptions to cap off an incredible evening

RB: Ricky Meetei

Ricky Meetei impressed with his defensive awareness and ability to contribute to build-up play. He registered 10 recoveries, three interceptions and two clearances, while avoiding being dribbled past. His distribution was another positive, completing seven of eight long balls and recording 92% passing accuracy in the opposition half.

This combination of defensive reliability and forward-looking passing helped him contribute on both sides of the game.

CM: Samir Zeljković

Zeljković stood out through his energy, ball-winning ability and contribution in possession. He made 14 recoveries, won 10 ground duels and an aerial duel, and successfully completed all his tackles. He also created three key chances, registered two shots on target and completed a dribble.

His performance showed how an effective defensive midfielder can protect the backline while also helping the team transition quickly into attack.

CM: Anirudh Thapa

Thapa played an important role in linking midfield with attack for Mohun Bagan. His forward passing and awareness helped the team progress into dangerous areas, and his pass set up Lee Erwin’s goal against Punjab FC.

That contribution highlighted his ability to identify attacking opportunities and deliver the ball at the right moment. Beyond the assist, his value lies in maintaining midfield control and helping turn possession into meaningful attacking moves.

LW: P. N. Noufal

Noufal was one of Mumbai City’s most influential attacking players against SC Delhi. He provided the assist for Muhammad Ajsal’s opening goal before creating another with an excellent low cross for Zothanpuia. He created five chances, including two big chances, and completed six progressive carries down the left flank.

His pace, direct running and ability to deliver accurately in the final third repeatedly troubled the opposition defence, making him a constant creative outlet.

CAM: Franchu

Franchu produced a composed and creative performance for FC Goa against Inter Kashi, opening the scoring with a well-taken finish from the edge of the box. He also created five chances, completed eight progressive carries in the opposition half and made four recoveries.

His ability to combine close control with intelligent movement made him a threat between the lines, while his willingness to carry the ball forward helped Goa sustain attacking pressure.

RW: Muhammad Ajsal

Ajsal made an immediate impact against SC Delhi, scoring Mumbai City’s opening goal just six minutes into the match. He combined effectively with Noufal, found space inside the penalty area and finished confidently with his left foot.

His movement and timing helped him take advantage of the opportunity, while the quality of the finish demonstrated his ability to turn a promising attacking move into a goal.

ST: Lee Erwin
